The short answer
Not from a dealership’s Facebook Page. Since January 30, 2023, Meta hasn’t let business Pages list vehicles on Marketplace, in the US, Canada and seven other countries. Two routes are left: a person listing from their own profile, and paid ads.
- Business Pages lost Marketplace vehicle listings on January 30, 2023, in the US and Canada.
- People can still list a car for free from their personal profile.
- Dealers can still reach Marketplace shoppers with paid Facebook ads.
What Meta changed, and when
In the fall of 2022, Meta told sellers that from January 30, 2023 it would stop supporting vehicle listings made from a Facebook business Page, and retire the Vehicles and Manage Inventory tabs. Listings already made from business Pages were deleted after that date. The notice named the markets for vehicles: the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Germany and Australia.
Two things did not change, in Meta’s words: free person-to-person listings stay on Marketplace, and “the ability to reach audiences via ads is also not changing.”
What still works for a dealer, in the US and Canada
| Route | What it is | Cost | US and Canada |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dealership Page listing | A Marketplace listing made from the store’s Facebook Page | Free, while it lasted | Ended January 30, 2023 |
| Personal profile listing | A person lists a car from their own profile | Free | Yes. Meta says profiles are for personal use, so a dealer’s listings there can be taken down |
| Facebook and Instagram ads | Paid ads for a car, or for your lot | Your budget | Yes |
| Automotive inventory ads | Paid ads built from your inventory feed | Your budget | Meta publishes no country list; check Ads Manager for your account |
| Your Page’s posts and reels | Free posts on the store’s own Page | Free | Yes, but they aren’t Marketplace listings |

Can salespeople list cars from their own profiles?
Many do, and Meta’s own notice pointed sellers to personal-profile listings. Meta also says profiles are “best for personal use, not for businesses or organizations.” So treat it as a risk, not a right: listings can come down and an account can be limited. If your team does it, list only cars that are on your lot, one listing a car, and take it down the day the car sells.
What a listing needs to get messages
- Rule 1
Photos of the real car
A Marketplace buyer is looking for that exact car. Stock photos, or another car’s pictures, read as bait.
- Rule 2
The price you’ll really sell for
Typed exactly, the same everywhere it appears. In BC, an ad’s price is the total price.
- Rule 3
The km, the trim, one reason to come
One owner, a new set of tires, heated seats: one line that makes it worth the drive.
- Rule 4
Gone when it’s gone
Take the listing down, or post that it’s sold, the day it sells.

Where StudioOS fits
StudioOS makes the pictures and reels you post, from your own photos of the car. It doesn’t list cars on Marketplace and it doesn’t post for you: you post them wherever your rules allow, from your Page, in your ads, or on your listings.
- Start from photos of the real car, or paste its listing link.
- The price, km and stock number come from you, printed exactly.
- Square and 4:3 listing shapes for Marketplace and feeds, vertical for reels.
- Switch a post to Sold when the car goes. It’s free.
